When you acquire e-Merges mailing lists or mailing labels at our standard mail list pricing, and conduct your USPS first class direct mailing within 21 days after shipment of your direct mail list order, we will:

(1) Credit your account for that portion of the mailing list records over 5% which were undeliverable and:

(2) Credit your account for that portion of the mailing list over 5% which was undeliverable for the cost of first class, one ounce postage spent by your firm on the undeliverable and returned pieces over 5% , not to be exceeded by the cost of the direct mailing list itself. 

Any undelivered items must be returned to us within 30 days after shipment of your direct mail list along with a copy of our invoice. Only one credit will be issued for one invoice. Credits are redeemable for up to 6 months from the date of issue. If you buy more than one set of mailing lists/mailing labels at one time, or repeat the use of the same mailing list/file, a credit will be allowed only for the first set of mailing labels shipped. Mailing Lists involving custom processing or special discounting is not creditable unless previous written agreements have been made.

Postage credit guarantees do not apply to address correction received by sender for street addressed direct mail that has been assigned a box in the same post office. USPS Postal regulations require that this direct mail be delivered, and these street addresses will be maintained by e-Merges. We recommend that you contact your local USPS postal authority for the proper address correction and forwarding imprint on your bulk mail.

This guarantee does not apply to direct mailings addressed to the “Personal” and/or “Confidential” attention of the listed recipient, and credits are provided in the form of replacement records only.

PLEASE NOTE: e-Merges "households" the lists. 'Household' means that we try to get rid of duplicate records. e-Merges deduplicates the list by giving you a householded list. This means that if someone owns four boats that meet your selection criteria, we try to send you their record only once and you get billed only once. To check for duplicate records we use fields: FirstName, LastName, CassAddress1, OwnerBirth, CassZip, and if present, Secondary Name. Householding or de-duplicating as it is often called, is not a perfect science. We have to try and balance list accuracy with list completeness. For example, a boat owner may register two boats but in the first registration he used the name 'Anthony' and in the second registration he used the name 'Tony'. In this case you will get both records. These kinds of inexact duplicates can often comprise 5-15% of a list.
